Bio-Sponge
Platinum Bio-Sponge is an equine health supplement designed to support healthy gastrointestinal function in foals and adult horses. This formula has a significant capacity to adsorb toxins, viruses, bacteria and free radicals that can cause diarrhea in horses.
Bio-Sponge, a gut protectant consisting of di-tri-octahedral smectite, can help create an intestinal environment that protects against the damaging effects of microbial overgrowth and toxin production. This is especially important for newborn and young foals who are at particular risk due to their immature – but still developing – intestinal flora and immune system. Additionally, Bio-Sponge can be helpful in horses with endotoxemia, post-operative diarrhea and after toxin ingestion.

| USE | ▸ Healthy newborn foals: For best results, after adequate colostrum intake, administer 3 tablespoons of Bio-Sponge® powder mixed with 30cc of water 6 hours after the foal first suckles the mare. Administer twice daily for 6 days or as directed by your veterinarian.
▸ Newborn foals with intestinal disorders: Administer 3 tablespoons of Bio-Sponge® powder mixed with 30cc of water 2 to 4 times or as directed by your veterinarian. Discontinue use 1 day after the intestinal disorders have disappeared. ▸ Adult horses with intestinal disorders: Administer 97.5g of Bio-Sponge® powder twice daily or as directed by your veterinarian. The amount can be increased in severe cases: once every 6 to 12 hours until the diarrhea has disappeared up to 490g (approximately 5 scoops) of powder mixed in 3 liters of water. The amount per dose may be reduced in less severe cases. * Discontinue if no noticeable improvement occurs after 7 days of use. |
